Storage

Storage

Source

Eden's Storage category provides the data primitives applications and AI depend on while keeping placement, ownership, policy, and operations in your hands. Each storage surface can run independently and connect to the same gateway, security, operations, and modernization model.

Shared operating model

Storage workloads use the same organization, identity, credential, policy, telemetry, and audit context as every other Eden surface. Gateway paths keep access protocol-aware, while Operations adds workload and runtime evidence and Modernization provides controlled movement when the backend must change.

Choose a storage surface

  • Use Key-value for hot keys, low-latency reads and writes, and cache-heavy workloads.
  • Use Relational for SQL, transactions, schema-aware operations, and composed queries.
  • Use Object storage for durable files, artifacts, snapshots, and large immutable objects.
  • Use Document for flexible records, collections, and document-native access patterns.
  • Use Streaming for replayable events, topics, consumers, and high-throughput pipelines.

See the Product Feature Inventory for the complete capability checklist and the Data in Motion documentation for the governed paths that connect storage to applications and AI.
